POSITION:
The Banqueting Manager is responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of all food and beverage for functions held within the venue.

In this senior role, you’ll be involved at every level of decision making, from marketing and selling the banqueting space to ensuring that each event runs without a hitch.

Your job is to ensure your team meets the requirements of each client, whether they want a small anniversary party for 50, a glamorous wedding for 300, or a high profile corporate dinner for 700.

It is essential as Banqueting Manager that you have worked at managerial level prior to this position, have experience of managing and developing a team, along with setting KPI’S to evaluate your team’s performance.

You must be passionate about their role, show flair and constantly look for fresh ideas, encouraging creative thinking in the team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales and labour costs.
• Participation and input towards F & B Marketing activities.
• Control of Banquet china, cutlery, glassware, linen and equipment.
• Completion of function delivery sheets in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Help in preparation of forecast and actual budget function sheets.
• Completion of weekly schedules. Schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service.
• To supervise and co-ordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet set-ups and service.
• Maintaining the Bar control policies and completion of necessary forms.
• Attendance and participation of weekly F & B meeting and Department Head meeting.
• To assist in menu planning and pricing.
• Ensuring that services meet customer specifications.
• Work with the Chef and Head Server to ensure all arrangements and details are dealt with.
• Provide quick service for last minute changes.
• Dealing with customer complaints.
• Inspection of venue prior to guest arrival ensuring that client specifications have been met.
• Co-ordinate the general housekeeping
