A One of a Kind Venue

The Grade II* listed Cunard Building boasts a fascinating maritime history, originally standing as the headquarters of the Cunard Steamship Company.

Neighbouring the Royal Liver Building, the opulent venue was designed by architects William Edward Willink and Philip Coldwell Thicknesse.

It was constructed between 1914 and 1917, and has played an integral role in the city ever since.

Inspired by Renaissance Italy’s grand palaces, we can’t think of many more spectacular buildings to work in, especially with such a view!

Patisserie Chef de Partie

Set to become the cherry on top at the Cunard Building, the up-and-coming Patisserie and Bakery will be based in the heart of the city. As a majestic piece of the Three Graces, you’ll work with the Royal Liver Building and the Port of Liverpool Building as your friendly neighbours.

New Liverpool Restaurant Coming to the Cunard Building

At Signature Careers, we have more exciting news for the flourishing, vibrant city that we’re lucky enough to call home.

Our presence in Liverpool is perpetually expanding and our passion for cultivating the city’s best loved buildings with a lasting purpose in the city is only continuing to grow.

This week, we revealed more about our plans for one of the stunning Three Graces, the Cunard building.

Set to create a multitude of new jobs in Liverpool, there’s plenty to look forward to.

The beautiful Grade II* listed building is located at the Pier Head, along Liverpool’s picturesque waterfront.

The bustling area attracts tourists and locals throughout the year, offering breathtaking views of the city and the perfect balance of history, culture and entertainment.

The Cunard couldn’t be in a better location for special celebrations and scenic days out. That’s why we’re planning on transforming the 18,000 sq ft ground floor of the Cunard into a spectacular restaurant.

Signature Living founder Lawrence Kenwright told the press he “absolutely” expects the restaurant to be the best in the city, so local foodies can certainly get excited.

Speaking to the Liverpool ECHO, he shared:

The ground floor is Grade II* listed so we have had to do a report with a heritage specailist. We are not knocking anything down, but it is 18,000 sq ft so we need concertina doors to give you the flexibility.

That means you can open up the full 18,000 sq ft for some events, but then have break-out rooms for smaller events, without that it doesn’t work.

The Cunard is undoubtedly one of the best spaces in the city, so it couldn’t be more fitting for a high quality restaurant. Visitors to Liverpool will be able to dine in luxury without compromising on gaining an atmospheric feel of the city.

Discussing ambitions for the new project, Lawrence emphasised:

The London Carriage Works is currently the best restaurant in the city with two AA rosettes. It’s our intention to get three or four rosettes – we absolutely want this to be the best restaurant in Liverpool.
