Sous Chef – Rainhill Hall
Rainhill Hall is a grade ii listed country house enriched by local history. Dating back to 1824, the hall sits just outside of Liverpool, nestled between 8 acres of lush greenery and majestic woodland. The hotel will host 45 stunning bedrooms, a picturesque bar and restaurant and a relaxing spa for our guests to enjoy.
This breath-taking retreat, guests can enjoy a magical break inside the main hotel or stay in one of our outside rustic woodland cabins. Rainhill Hall will offer guests an enchanting experience, bringing a romantic alternative to traditional accommodation.
Signature Living are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our award-winning teams across our company working in our new exciting venue, Rainhill Hall
A Sous Chef must be the operational masters of the kitchen, you must be able to perform any task in the kitchen if needed. A Sous Chef often acts as the intermediary between the kitchen and wait staff, so strong leadership and communication abilities are a must.
THE JOB ROLE CONSISTS OF
·Leads kitchen team in chef’s absence
·Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
·Overseeing and organising kitchen stock and ingredients
·Keeping cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
·Supervising all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
·Working with Head Chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
·Assisting Head Chef with menu creation
·Coordinating with restaurant management on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
·Previous Restaurant Experience at a Sous Chef level in a similar chef role
·Extensive Food and Beverage Knowledge, Restaurant Industry Knowledge,
·Strong Organisational Skills,
·Attention to Detail,
·Knowledge of Restaurant health and safety Regulations,
·Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills,
